Creating a Culture of Giving

Independent schools like Hillel Academy of Tampa thrive through a strong culture of philanthropy that sustains our operating budget and enhances every aspect of student life. This tradition of giving is embraced by our Board of Trustees, faculty, families, alumni, and students—who contribute to our mission not only through gifts but also by leading fundraising initiatives.

The Annual Fund is Hillel’s primary community-wide fundraising effort, helping to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Hillel education. These gifts strengthen our diverse and caring community, helping students grow with a strong Jewish identity and a deep respect for our shared heritage. Your participation will be recognized in our donor listings, encouraging others to join you in making a lasting impact.

In addition, grants, capital giving, endowed giving, community sponsors, and legacy giving play a vital role in ensuring the long-term strength of our school. Through thoughtful planning, donors of all ages and capacities can help secure a vibrant Jewish future for generations to come.

Creating an Engaged Community

Hillel Academy’s Advancement Team coordinates a variety of events throughout the year to foster community and celebrate our shared commitment to Jewish education. Signature events include Chanukkah Fest, the Annual Gala, Day of Giving, VIP Day, and alumni gatherings that strengthen lifelong connections. Hillel's Parent Association supports events that engage both families and students across grade levels. Members of the Hillel community generously open their homes and hearts to host events in support of capital initiatives, alumni outreach, parent socials, and volunteer appreciation.

To learn more about how you can get involved in any of these meaningful events, please contact Olivia Segalman at osegalman@hillelacademytampa.com.
