Parent Association Header (4).png

Hillel Academy is made up of parents who show a strong commitment and investment in our school community. The Parent Association (PA) develops programs, activities, events and volunteer opportunities that strengthen the bond with each other and our school. Community building is our mission! All parents and guardians of students at our school are members of this group and are encouraged to get involved. There is a wide range of opportunities for parent participation. Your contribution, whether it is your time, knowledge, or resources, makes a difference. It shows your children that education matters, and it makes Hillel Academy a better place!

What is the PA?

The Parent Association's mission is to foster parent involvement and volunteerism while promoting a culture of Chesed (kindness and goodwill) among parents and teachers through service, community building, and communication. We achieve this through various means, including supplying volunteers for school events, organizing Teacher Appreciation Week to show our educators some love, coordinating Homeroom parents who support teachers in their classrooms, planning parent engagement events to strengthen our community, offering comfort and support to our families in times of joy and healing, assisting the school with fundraising events (like the Gala and Casino Night – stay tuned for more on that, you won't want to miss it!), and much more.

PA Fees

Each family contributes $180 per student.  These funds play a crucial role in supporting our teachers throughout the year. They help make Teacher Appreciation Week extra special, where we celebrate our teachers with food, swag, treats, and gifts over an entire week in May and during Chanukkah. These funds also help us honor our teachers and staff with tokens of appreciation from the PA at various points throughout the year, fund the Oys & Joys committee to support parents and staff during celebrations and times of sorrow, and organize parent events to further build our community.
