At Hillel Academy, academic excellence and character development go hand in hand. Our Culture of Chesed (kindness) creates a safe, nurturing, and challenging environment where students learn not only how to succeed academically, but also how to become thoughtful, compassionate, and responsible members of their communities.
Rooted in the Jewish value of derech eretz, the importance of treating others with respect, dignity, and integrity. Our Culture of Chesed is woven into daily life at Hillel. Students are encouraged to consider how their words and actions affect others, take responsibility for their choices, demonstrate empathy, and lead through kindness.
We believe these lessons are most powerful when they are modeled. Our faculty, staff, families, and broader school community share a responsibility to demonstrate the values we hope to instill in our students, creating an environment where kindness and respect are not simply taught-they are lived.
Developing the Next Generation
The impact of a Culture of Chesed extends far beyond the classroom. Our goal is for Hillel graduates to leave our school with a strong moral foundation and a genuine sense of responsibility for others.

As the only community Jewish day school serving the Tampa Bay region, Hillel Academy provides a seamless educational journey from our Forman Early Learning Center through eighth grade. A Campus Built for Community
Hillel Academy’s secure, 10-acre campus is a place where students, families, and the greater Tampa Jewish community come together to learn, celebrate, connect, and belong.
Our campus features science and Hebrew learning labs, a MakerLab, art and music studios, a library, a teaching kitchen, a state-of-the-art gym, athletic fields, outdoor play and dining areas, and spaces for performances, simchas, and community events.
At Hillel, learning extends beyond the classroom, creating meaningful experiences, lasting relationships, and a true sense of community.
Students are known, challenged, and supported
Small classes and meaningful relationships allow our educators to truly know each student-their strengths, interests, and individual needs. Students are challenged academically while receiving the personalized support they need to grow with confidence and reach their full potential.
Jewish life is woven throughout the Hillel experience. Through Hebrew, Jewish studies, Israel education, traditions, celebrations, and shared experiences, students develop a strong sense of Jewish identity, belonging, and connection to their community and Israel.
